America going Global?

Globalization is referring to something growing into a global or worldwide scale. While, the term Americanization is referring to the assimilation into the American culture. Yet, it seems Americanization is going global. For instance, American influences can be defiantly noticeable in other cultures and countries, although other cultures are also assimilating their own influences right into the American culture but in a more coalescent way.

To start off, what exactly makes American influences so much powerful than others? Is it just the media with its convivial pop culture? Is it the great patriotism that Americans have for their country? Or perhaps it’s the ability to come from poverty and have greater possibilities to reach the "american dream"?

Personally, I was grew up with two different cultures but I don’t identity myself with either one but instead I like to take the advantage of what they both offer. I will use the language as an example. Even though my first language is Spanish, I had to learn English in a faster pace in order to communicate myself throughout my younger years and thus I ended up using English as my main language. Nevertheless, being bilingual has provided me with advantages as: being an interpreter, an extra qualification when applying for a job, and making it easier for me to commute around other places.
Although, I do see in other cases people, who come from the same position as me, that end up more accustomed to the “American” culture and maybe because they feel more acceptable to it than their native background and therefore forgetting some of their roots.

What I’m trying to make my point through this: is that somehow American influences tend to have aggressive ways on making their changes into other cultures. Like the language, if you don’t learn to speak to English you’re not going to be able to communicate yourself nor be able to defend your-self, you end up limiting yourself to lower paid jobs, or rely on others to interpret for you, and that will limit yourself from moving up in this country. And once English becomes the priority language- their next few upcoming generations, English would be the only language their children would know.

American ways of being, to me, has let an impression that they rather be the main influence or become the priority. While other cultures, would just like to contribute to America and make it their home.

Other cultures have made their accommodations into the American culture but in a more settle way and food is a great example. In America you could find a variety of different food joints raging from Mexican, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Indian and so much more and that’s because of the people who come from other countries bring their culture and make a great addition to America.

And what I also see that america has a strong factor of  marketing either food, clothes, electronics, and media to a large quantity around the world. We all fall, here or then, to buying fast food from McDonalds, buying the latest technology, and falling into the popular chain of music but we are not the only ones targeted. In other countries there are iPhone's being sold, McDonald's being built, and the youngster also knowing about the new headline that Justin or Miley have made.....
And maybe the advantage of the "American" behavior: is that is so easily  adaptable and no extra force of thinking is involve- its  just easy to follow...
